Five people were killed Sunday when a Bearskin airline flight crashed near the Red Lake, Ont., airport.
KenoraOnline reports that the 19-passenger plane was arriving from Sioux Lookout, Ont., at about 7:30 p.m. when it went down and burst into flames.
"One of the passengers sitting in the rear of the plane was able to rescue a female passenger, also at the rear of the aircraft and drag her to safety," OPP Sgt. Rob McDonough told KenoraOnline.
"The plane became totally engulfed in flames, and the bush area around the plane caught fire, as well."
It's believed the deceased are two pilots and three passengers. Two of the survivors -- and man and a woman -- are in hospital.
