MEXICO CITY - Police found 13 bodies piled on top of one another outside a convenience store in western Mexico on Monday, local and federal authorities said.
The corpses had been shot in what appeared to be a flare up in an on-going turf war between drug cartels in Michoacan state.
The victims, who were discovered semi-naked along with threatening messages, were left on a highway on the outskirts of Zitacuaro, a city some 160 kilometres west of Mexico City, the state attorney general’s office said.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
