Utah teens planned to blow up school, top Columbine High School shooting death toll

Two Utah teens were arrested for plotting to set off a bomb during a school assembly and then fly off in a stolen plane, officials said.

Dallin Morgan, 18 and Joshua Hoggan, 16, said they were inspired by the deadly 1999 Columbine High School massacre — so much so that they visited Littleton, Colo., to interview the principal about the nation's worst school shooting, The Associated Press reported.

The disturbed students from Roy High School allegedly wanted to top that body count.

“The plan was to use an explosive device during a school assembly, which targets a lot of people," Roy police spokeswoman Anna Bond told KSL-TV.
