A Contra Costa Community College student was shot and killed in Richmond by a gunman who turned on him after initially targeting someone else, police said Tuesday.
Edwin Martinez, 22, of Richmond was sitting in a parked car with his sister outside their apartment on the 2100 block of Nevin Avenue at about 7 p.m. Monday when they saw a car careen around the corner, and a man running after it while shooting a gun, police said.
