Two middle-aged men found dead in their neighbouring homes had become embroiled in a bitter dispute over parking.
Police are frantically trying to piece together both men’s movements after the grim discoveries in the quiet lane in Braintree, Essex.
One man has been formally identified as Alan Taylor, 59, while his neighbour was named locally as Richard Wright, a lorry driver in his fifties who lived alone.
Neighbours on Eagle Lane said the pair had been ‘at war’ over parking in the tiny road, which only has one entrance.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
