A teenage girl was knocked down and killed by an 87-year-old motorist - three days after he refused to surrender his licence to police after failing an eye test.
Cassie McCord, a 16-year-old student, suffered severe head injuries after being hit by Colin Horsfall as he twice swerved onto the pavement in Colchester, Essex, and struck her and another pedestrian.
She was taken to hospital but died the following day.
