Police have charged a 21-year-old man after a fight involving a knife and a chainsaw at a Northam pub east of Perth. The men were at the hotel early on Sunday morning when an argument broke out between them. It is alleged the 21-year-old man threatened a 30-year-old with a knife, threw a glass at other patrons and then went to a storage area to get a chainsaw. Police say he used the chainsaw to cut through a chair the older man was holding and then made contact with the man's arm. The victim received a deep laceration and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
