VAN NUYS, Calif. (KTLA) — A woman is fighting for her life and a suspect is in custody after she was intentionally set on fire while sleeping in Van Nuys. It happened around 1 a.m. near the corner of Van Nuys Boulevard and Sherman Way. The woman, who may have been a homeless woman who frequented the area, was sleeping on a bus bench outside a Walgreens store. According to witnesses, the suspect went into the Walgreens and bought what may have been rubbing alcohol, then walked out and doused the woman.
