A German zookeeper was killed by a Siberian tiger as horrified patrons watched from outside the enclosure, officials said.
The 56-year-old worker, identified only as Martin H., was attacked by the 10-year-old tiger, Rasputin, during a public feeding of the big cats in the Allwetterzoo Muenster on Thursday, officials said. The blood spilled after the worker may have improperly latched a lock while moving Rasputin with at least one other tiger to another enclosure, officials said.
A group of people had gathered to watch the caged animals eat when the tiger jumped the keeper from behind and killed him with “a targeted neck bite,” said a fire department spokesman, Dieter Knaack, according to United Press International.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
