A 54-year-old man trapped in a collapsed trench at a housing estate has died after attempts to save him failed today. Rescuers fought for several hours to free the man after he became trapped at the site of a new housing estate in Letterston, Pembrokeshire, west Wales. Major efforts to stabilise the collapsed trench and free the man ended in failure.
