Just a few hours after Emilio Palomo, 16, was shot to death, a group of friends gathered at the scene, lit religious candles, hugged each other and prayed. The teen was shot in the chest Sunday in an apparent drive-by in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, police said. He was one of four people killed by gun violence over the weekend. Another 22 were injured in shooting and stabbings around the city.
