Three people have died at a northern California senior home after accidentally consuming poisonous mushrooms that had been used in the preparation of one of their meals. According to the Associated Press, a caretaker at the facility found the wild fungi growing in the center's backyard and unwittingly used it to prepare soup. He then served it to the center's members, many of whom quickly fell ill. Since eating the soup on Nov. 8, Frank Warren Blodgett, 90, Barbara Lopez, 86, and Teresa Olesnieqicz, 73, have died, and three other members of the six-bed center, including the caretaker himself, were seriously sickened by the lethal caps.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
