Horror as boy, 7, dies after large metal hook flew from a lawn tractor and impaled him in the base of his skull

A seven-year-old boy from Indiana has died after having his head impaled on a hook in a freak accident over the weekend. David ‘DJ’ Elwanger, of New Albany, was playing in his grandfather's backyard Saturday when an eight-inch hook from a lawn tractor flew through the air and struck the child in the head. The seven-year-old was rushed to the hospital, but passed away a day later from his injury.
