A woman sitting in the sun with her eight-month-old baby daughter and her dog in a San Francisco park was run over by a maintenance vehicle and later died later in hospital on Thursday.
The driver apparently fled the scene, but was later detained and questioned. Police found the green San Francisco Recreation and Park vehicle not too far from Holly Park in the city's Bernal Heights neighborhood.
The 35-year-old woman and her daughter were in the grass under some trees when the vehicle struck her shortly after 2 p.m., authorities said.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
