GIFU — Police said Saturday they have arrested a man on suspicion of dumping the body of his ex-lover in the woods.
The man, who has been named as 60-year-old design company manager Katsumi Ando, is believed to have invited kindergarten teacher Yoko Matsui out for a drink on May 7, following which she disappeared.
Her body was found on May 12 in a mountainside forest around 30 meters downhill of the road. According to police, Matsui had been stabbed in the chest and her body dumped in the forest in Mizunami, Fuji reported.
