A three-year-old boy accidentally shot himself just moments after his mother stepped out of the room. Joshua Turner Jr., known affectionately as J.J., died in his father’s arms on Saturday afternoon as his mother yelled for help at their Independence, Kansas, home.
Rather than celebrating Father’s Day, the devastated parents were yesterday planning their firstborn’s funeral and waiting for a coroner’s report.
