A Maryland woman who did not have a valid drivers license accidentally backed her SUV over five children, killing her eight-year-old daughter and putting her two-year-old son in hospital.
Marianable Cruz-Lopez, 33, placed her Ford Expedition sport utility vehicle in reverse and accelerated over the children who were playing in the driveway of her Lewisdale home at about 8.45pm on Thursday, according to Prince George's County Police.
Screaming 'My kids!' Cruz-Lopez desperately jumped out of the car and grabbed her son whose second birthday is today while neighbours struggled to lift fallen bricks off fatally wounded eight-year-old Natalie Hernandez Cruz.
