CHIBA — Police said Tuesday they are searching for three young men who fled from a traffic accident in Asahi, Chiba Prefecture. Two people died in the accident which occurred at around 11 p.m. Monday. Shigeru Kojima, 65, and Akiko Omiya, 65, were both killed when their car was hit by an oncoming vehicle, Fuji TV reported. Police say Kojima and Omiya were traveling in a small, lightweight car that did not offer much protection from the impact. Eyewitnesses say three young men fled from the other vehicle following the accident.
