SANTA ANA (KTLA) -- An 83-year-old man pleaded guilty Friday for allegedly beating his 94-year-old roommate with a metal rod after becoming angered by the other man's singing. William Leo McDougall is accused of beating his 94-year-old roommate Mahn Van Nguyen to death in October 2010. The pair shared a room at the Palm Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center when authorities say McDougall struck his 94-year-old roommate, Manh Ban Nguyen, over the head several times several times with a metal rod.
