Boy, 16, to stand trial for killing his great-grandmother with a sword 'after told to stop playing video games'

A jury has ruled that a 16-year-old boy charged with killing his great-grandmother with a 35-inch Samurai sword is competent to stand trial in Georgia. It took the Douglas County jury 30 minutes to come to their final decision over Gevin Prince on Wednesday who has been charged as an adult in the 2011 stabbing death outside his Douglasville home. On August 15 the teen's great-grandmother 77-year-old Mary Joan Gibbs was found dead outside her home after what police said was a fight over her telling him to stop playing video games.
