A train has collided with a bus carrying kindergarteners to their school in a city south of Cairo, killing up to 47 children. The crash happened today as the bus crossed tracks in the city of Manfalut, near Asyut in the province of Assiut, which is about 300 km (190 miles) south of the capital. The Egyptian transport minister has resigned, according to state media.
