A 28-YEAR-OLD man died after jumping from a ledge in a Queens mall Wednesday, police sources said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, leaped from a walkway on the third floor of the Queens Center Mall about 12:35 p.m., the sources said.
A source said surveillance footage captured the man pacing back and forth before he took off his headphones and made the terrifying plunge in front of several shoppers.
Emergency workers rushed the man from the popular Queens Blvd. shopping center to Elmhurst Hospital Center, but he could not be saved.
