A mother and daughter whose two pit bulls fatally mauled a 75-year-old woman in her front yard and left her limbs 'hanging by threads' have been convicted of involuntary manslaughter in California.
Alba Cornelio, 41, and Carla Cornelio, 21, were each found guilty of two counts of owning a mischievous animal that resulted in death after the horrific June 18 attack that left a San Diego woman fighting for her life.
Emako Mendoza was attacked at her home in Paradise Hills when she went to get a newspaper and the two dogs broke through a hole in her fence. Her husband later found her bloodied in their garden.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
