NAGANO —
Police on Wednesday arrested an 83-year-old man for allegedly beating his wife to death at their home in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture.
According to police, Katsumi Sekiguchi beat his wife Sachiko, 80, about the face and stomach several times at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Fuji TV reported that a neighbor called police, saying that he could hear the couple fighting and it sounded like it was getting out of control.
Police rushed to the house and found Sachiko unconscious. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead about one hour later.
Sekiguchi has admitted killing his wife but has so far given no motive.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
