Two women have been arrested following the death of a 79-year-old man who was savaged by a dog in Merseyside last night.
Officers were called to an address in the Clubmoor area of Liverpool just before 8.40pm to reports of a dog attack on an elderly man in the garden of his home.
When they arrived officers found the body of the man and they were confronted by a dog that was out of control.
