Father-of-two 'stabbed adulterous wife to death in front of their young son in attack which was recorded on dictaphone he used to spy on her'

A father-of-two who stabbed his adulterous wife to death in front of their young son was recorded telling her she 'deserved it' by a dictaphone he'd taped under her bed, a court heard. Andrew Parsons, 38, is said to have punched his beautician wife, Janee, 31, until she lay dazed on the landing of their home in Bicester, Oxfordshire, before telling her he was going downstairs to fetch something. He then returned with a large kitchen knife and stabbed her 17 times, despite her 'pleading for her life' in terror, Oxford Crown Court heard today. Prosecutor Miranda Moore QC told the court that harrowing evidence supporting their case was captured on a recording device Parsons had hidden underneath his wife’s bed. The dictaphone, which was capable of recording 22 hours of audio footage at a time, was intended to capture her telephone conversations with her lover, Daniel Hansens, she said. The court heard how Parsons, who denies murdering his American wife, had wanted to 'pick a fight' with his wife on the morning of her death.
