A Florida woman was mauled by a pack of pit bulls while out walking with her 6-year-old daughter on Sunday, police said.
Brandy Bookamer, 27, of Flagler County, in northeast Florida, shielded her daughter from the five dogs and urged the little girl to run home, saving her from serious injury, police told local First Coast News.
The brave mom suffered bite wounds and lacerations in the attack and was "barely moving" when help arrived, local FOX 35 reported.
She was airlifted to Halifax Hospital. Information on her condition wasn't available, though local reports said her injuries weren't life-threatening.
