A 95-year-old man living in a retirement home near Chicago was shot and killed with stun guns and bean bag rounds by police who say he threatened them with a butcher knife.
John Warna first wielded a cane and then a metal shoe horn at officers who were sent to his Park Forest, Illinois senior living community because he was being combative.
Warna was resisting private ambulance drivers as they tried to take him from his home at the Victory Centre supportive living community involuntarily for medical treatment.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
