A rare white stag was shot dead then beheaded by poachers who broke into a German nature reserve.
Police believe the culprits were trophy hunters.
Investigators believe the stag was shot once then decapitated "unprofessionally," reported The Local.
The animal's decapitated body was found on New Year's Day.
