A woman destroyed parts of her ex-boyfriend's house and belongings and then bragged about her actions on Facebook, according to authorities.

The woman, 27, went to her former romantic companion's house earlier this week in Lexington County, South Carolina and poured vegetable oil all over his pool table and threw billiard balls around the home.

The ex-boyfriend, 30, showed police Facebook messages that the woman, who also broke pool sticks and broke several doors at the home, wrote discussing the damage she created.

At least 5 dead in Italy bus crash

ROME (AP) - A bus bringing retired police officers to a national convention veered off a highway in northern Italy on Saturday and plunged into a canal, killing at least five people, officials said.

AZUSA (KTLA) -- A 21-year-old man stabbed his mother to death in Azusa on Friday.

Daniel Pope called police at around 9 a.m. to report that he had stabbed his mother, Azusa Police Lt. Paul Dennis told KTLA.

When police arrived at the 300 block of E. Russell Street, Pope had injures on his body as well, Dennis said. "He did have injuries on his legs," Dennis said. "I cannot confirm that he stabbed himself."

Pope also stabbed a dog at the home. The family had 4 dogs. Police said they discovered one dog dead at the scene. Another was injured and was transported. The other two animals were not injured, but were taken by animal services as well.

Newborn baby's body found in bag near pond

FUKUOKA — Police said Friday that the body of a newborn infant was found in a vinyl bag near a pond in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture.

According to police, a passerby called 110 just after 12 noon on Thursday and said there was a bad smell coming from a vinyl bag near a pond, Fuji TV reported. When police arrived, they found the infant’s decayed body.

Police said they were unable to determine the gender and that the body appeared to have been discarded several days ago. Police are investigating the case as one of abandoning a corpse.

A man has been acquitted of murdering his art student girlfriend on the grounds of insanity.

Mark Jarvie went on trial accused of strangling and stabbing Jane Kelly, 22, in the bedroom of his family home in Powmill, Kinross, in October last year.

A joint minute read to the jury at the High Court in Aberdeen agreed he had killed her. But psychiatrists had concluded that he had suffered a "total alienation of reason" at the time of the offence.

Judge Lord Tyre instructed the jury to find Jarvie, who has been detained at Carstairs, not guilty of the charge of murder on account of his insanity.

The court heard his parents, Gordon and Linda, walked into his room on 28 October 2011 to find Miss Kelly had been strangled and stabbed in the head with a knife.

The art student was lying face down on the bed fully clothed. Jarvie was sitting on the floor with his hands round her neck.

A woman who placed her ex-boyfriend's penis in a piping-hot hair straightener and squeezed is not guilty of assault, a Swedish court has ruled.

The hair-raising episode unfolded in January 2011 when the 31-year-old man got drunk with his ex-girlfriend and another female acquaintance in a flat in Halmstad in western Sweden.

Shazer Limas, 31, was wanted for questioning after managers at his former apartment complex called to report finding blood in the unit he had just vacated.

Limas had lived in the apartment with his girlfriend, Arlet Hernandez, 31, and her two sons, a 2-year-old and a 3-month-old, said Sgt. Dan Adams of the Orange Police Department.

Investigators believe Limas murdered them and then cleared out of the apartment, dumping their bodies elsewhere, Adams said.

A former New York City police officer killed in April was stabbed in the back 19 times by his ex-wife, a Mecklenburg prosecutor said in court Thursday.

Carole LaRossa, 48, of Waxhaw, is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of her estranged husband, James LaRossa, at his Rea Road apartment in south Charlotte. She’s out of jail on $250,000 bond, but was asking a judge to relax some of the conditions of her release. Hunt for gang of girls who stole french fries, then attacked and robbed teens at Bronx train station

Cops are looking for a dozen french fry-thieving girls who taunted and attacked two 16-year-old girls before dragging them off a Bronx train by their hair early one morning in March.

The wild teens stole fries from one of the 16-year-olds and continued to harass her and a friend on a downtown 4 train on about 3:15 a.m. on March 31, cops said.

At the E. 176th St. station, the pack dragged the two girls by the hair to the platform and stole a cellphone from one of the girls, cops said.

5 dead in shooting at Phoenix-area home: Police say shooter is among the dead

GILBERT, Ariz. — Five people died in a shooting Wednesday at a Phoenix-area home, where the investigation is being slowed by concerns there could be hazardous materials in 55-gallon drums in the backyard.

The shooter is among the dead, police said, although they're not yet certain whether he killed himself. Police haven't identified him or the victims.

The bodies — including that of a toddler — are still in the home in the city of Gilbert southeast of Phoenix. Officials are testing an unknown liquid in drums in the backyard as a precautionary measure.

ICE Agent Fatally Shot by 14-year-old Son in Carson

CARSON, Calif. (KTLA) -- A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder after he allegedly shot and killed his father, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, at their home in Carson.

Woman accused of severing man’s penis in fatal Dallas stabbing

LOVELAND, Colo. -- A 14-year-old girl ripped into the Loveland church volunteer who used his daughter, promises of an iPad upgrade and a trip to Disneyland as lures before he sexually assaulted her.

"You are the most disgusting person I ever met in my life," the teen said, sobbing softly as she confronted 54-year-old Robert Kirchhoff at his Tuesday sentencing, according to the Coloradoan newspaper.

"You are really screwed up, and someone had to stop you," the girl said. Kirchhoff was sentenced to two years in jail and 10 years to life of intensive sex-offender probation for grabbing the girl by the wrist and sexually assaulting her, the newspaper reported.

He had been babysitting the teen while she was at his home to visit his 12-year-old daughter the night of Jan. 27.

Kirchoff had met the victim's family at Resurrection Fellowship Church, where he volunteered with preteens until his Jan. 31 arrest.

Sex abuser Clifford Lown jailed after filming rape

A man who filmed himself raping a woman he had abused when she was a child has been jailed for 20 years.

Clifford Lown, 49, of Epsom, Surrey, was convicted of abusing two children between 1987 and 1997 and a third child in 2010 following an Old Bailey trial.

The court was told he filmed himself raping one of his victims in 2004, when she was an adult, and later handed the video to police as part of his defence.

At least three dead after car bursts into flames

At least three people have been killed when the car they were travelling in crashed and exploded in Melbourne's inner north this afternoon.

Houston police say officers called to an apartment by a suicidal man found the body of his 6-month-old son in the refrigerator.

Houston Homicide Sgt. Ora Chandler says the man called 911 Wednesday morning saying he was having suicidal thoughts. However, when officers arrived, the man refused to let them in.

Police forced their way into the apartment once they discovered a child lived there, and eventually discovered the infant's body in the refrigerator.

Chandler said the man confessed that he had put his son in the refrigerator about 6 p.m. Tuesday after finding that he had stopped breathing.

Attorneys for 22-year-old Tessa Vanvlerah, of Ballwin, failed to persuade St. Louis County Circuit Judge Colleen Dolan to sentence their client Monday only to probation, because they argue that a psychological disorder is largely to blame for her crimes, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Vanvlerah pleaded guilty in January to incest, statutory sodomy and statutory rape in the attacks against her daughter, who is 3 but who was 5 months old when the pair first attacked her. The woman who fostered and then adopted the girl said initially, the girl would scream when anyone bathed her or changed her diaper. She still has night terrors and asks at each bedtime to make sure nobody else comes into the home.

OPELOUSAS, La.—A Florida man sought in the slayings of his wife and the boyfriend of his pregnant daughter has been arrested in Louisiana.

Opelousas police spokesman Darren Zachary says 55-year-old Kevin Satterfield was arrested early Wednesday at a motel after family members provided information about his location.

Florida authorities allege that Satterfield fled his Kissimmee home after fatally shooting 53-year-old Vicki Satterfield and 27-year-old Christian Martinez early Tuesday.

He's charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one of attempted murder.

Also shot was his daughter, Heather Satterfield, who was eight months pregnant. The Orlando Sentinel said the baby was delivered and both were recovering.

British woman, 27, is killed in 50ft fall from hotel balcony in Gran Canaria

A 27-year-old British woman has been killed in a fall from a fifth floor balcony at a holiday apartment block in the Canary Islands.

The holidaymaker, who has not been named, fell some 50 feet just after 3am on Monday at Puerto Rico, near the popular resort of Maspalomas, on the south-west coast of Gran Canaria.

She was rushed to hospital in a critical condition with multiple fractures and died shortly after arrival.

Somalia suicide blast kills six

A suicide bomber killed at least six people including two lawmakers in an attack in the central Somali town of Dhusamareb, officials said Tuesday.

"The explosion hit a hotel in the town and it killed several people, any others were also injured," said Mohamed Abudlahi Moalim, a senior commander with the Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamaa militia, which controls the area.

Trio in court over gruesome triple murder

Patric Suter, now 34 years old and another man known only as Guido S, now 27 years old, as well as one woman referred to as Ruth S, go on trial at Solothurn District Court accused of murdering 55-year-old Margrit Dubey, her 60-year-old husband, Pierre-André and their 35-year-old daughter Dania, online news site 20 Minuten reported.


In 2009, the two men arranged a meeting with Margarit Dubey at her home with a view to robbing the family. Overpowering her, Margarit Dubey was tied up and suffocated with a plastic bag placed over her head.

The two then made their way upstairs where Margarit had indicated that money was kept. There they came across the other two family members.

Patric Suter broke several of Pierre-André’s ribs, pressed a pillow into his face and shot him in the head.

He then tried to strangle Dania, and was aided by Guido S who assisted by putting a plastic bag over her head also.

Nevada baby mauled to death by pet dog during first birthday celebration

A Nevada baby's first birthday ended in tragedy when he was mauled to death by his 120-pound pet mastiff, the family said.

Baby Jeremiah Eskew-Shahan's family was getting ready to put him to bed at around 10 p.m. on Friday when the boy crawled over to pet their 6-year-old mastiff-Rhodesian ridgeback mix, Onion, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The animal and the baby had been happily playing together all day while Jeremiah opened presents at his grandmother's house in Henderson — but suddenly, the massive hound snapped.

Woman fatally shot at northeast Houston home

A woman was fatally shot Monday on the front porch of her northeast Houston home, police said.

A man who lives with the woman was taken into custody.

The two were sitting on the porch outside their house in the 4000 block of Liberty near Waco when they began to argue, said Houston Police Department Sgt. Will Gonzales. The man pulled out a gun and shot her about 8:40 a.m., Gonzales said.

Wounded, the woman ran inside a neighbor's house for help. The man chased her, threatened the neighbor at gunpoint and forced the woman back into their home, police said.

CHIBA — A 23-year-old woman was found dead in an apartment in Urayasu, Chiba prefecture, on Monday morning, police said.

According to police, a man called 110 at about 8 a.m. and reported that the woman who was staying with him was lying on her bed, bleeding from the chest. The woman was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later, NTV reported.

Woman shot by ex-boyfriend over babysitting duty

A woman was shot by her ex-boyfriend in the West Side Garfield Park neighborhood late Monday after asking him when he would babysit their baby.

The 26-year-old woman was driving in an alley in the 700 block of North Harding Avenue about 11:10 p.m., when she saw her ex-boyfriend sitting on his sister’s stoop, police said.

She yelled, “Hey, when are you going to babysit?” and her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend responded by shooting her in the chest.

3 middle school-aged boys accused of raping woman

The victim told NewsChannel 36 that she knew her attackers.

"I just can't believe they did this to me,” she said. “I see these little boys every day. I was only trying to help them." She said the boys knocked on her door, said their power was out, and asked for candles. Then, she said, they returned to say they needed her help with the candles.

The police report said once the boys lured her into the apartment, one of the twins pushed her down while the other slammed and locked the door. The report stated the boys held her down and repeatedly raped the woman.
