An anonymous caller on Wednesday morning led the Larimer Humane Society to the first skinned dog body, which was discarded near County Roads 4 and 21, southwest of Berthoud, said Humane Society spokeswoman Marcie Willms.
The female dog, which appeared to be the size of a cattle dog, also had been decapitated and its tail was cut off, she said.
