A heartbroken teenager threw herself off a bridge - while her ex-boyfriend filmed the tragedy on his mobile phone. Jilted Joanne Griffiths, 19, plummeted to her death moments after her ex-lover Gary Newell tried to talk her down. An inquest heard Mr Newell filmed Joanne’s death leap because he feared he would be 'blamed' for her death. Tesco worker Joanne was 'finding it hard to cope' after breaking up with Mr Newell, the coroner was told.
She had been drinking heavily when she bumped into Mr Newell, 22, and his new girlfriend in a bar in her hometown of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Joanne had to be escorted out of the bar after arguing with her ex boyfriend, before she stormed off and climbed a footbridge over a busy dual carriageway. Mr Newell followed her and tried to talk her down after she climbed over safety railings over the road. Emergency services were called to the scene and police tried to talk to Joanne. The road was closed and a specially trained negotiator was on the way when Joanne let go of the railings and fell to her death.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
