A three-year-old girl has died after becoming tangled in ropes on equipment in a nursery playground. The girl was pronounced dead in hospital after she suffered serious injuries in the play area at the £42-a-day York College Nursery, York, yesterday afternoon. She is thought to have used a 5ft metal slide at the college’s nursery and then become stuck on the ropes that were part of another piece of equipment. It is not known whether she fell from the slide onto the ropes.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
