An Oklahoma man pleaded guilty to killing his ex-girlfriend and her four young children in an agreement that will spare him the death penalty. Joshua Durcho, 29, was sentenced to life without parole Friday in a deal agreed to by the family of the victims. Summer Rust, 25, and her four children were strangled in their El Reno, Okla., apartment in 2009. “The death penalty wouldn’t have made me feel any better than him being locked up forever,” Rhonda Rust, stepmother of Summer Rust, told The Associated Press.
