A young child who stunned doctors with his quick recovery from serious health issues early in his life was tragically killed while playing with his father's handgun. Two-year-old Linkin Leatham fatally shot himself at his family's home in Springville, Utah around noon on September 11, with a gun that belonged to his father, Owen Leatham, a police officer. Little Linkin was born with 'considerable medical complications' but had overcome his struggles to become a loving and energetic boy, according to his obituary.
