An unidentified four-year-old girl in Virginia was the fourth victim in a string of rabid beaver attacks across the country. Officials said the girl was attending a fishing competition at Hidden Pond Nature Center in Springfield when the beaver leaped out of the pond and lunged toward the girl, who narrowly escaped. News of the incident brings the number of high-profile attacks to four, following previously reported maulings in Lake Barcroft in Fairfax County, Virginia, Lake Anna in Virginia's Spotsylvania County and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in Pennsylvania.
