An eighth-grader fatally shot himself at his Detroit-area middle school Thursday just before the start of classes, police said.
The unidentified male student at Davidson Middle School in Southgate was found in a bathroom by another student around 8:15 a.m.
Police said he had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and had used a .40-caliber handgun, according to ABC affiliate WXYZ.
