An ex-con out on parole used a screwdriver to stab a Chicago jewelry designer to death in her own home as he went to steal a DVD player, police have said.
Paul Johnson, 34, is accused of attacking 33-year-old Lisa Koziol-Ellis in a bloody frenzy after breaking into her Elgin, Ill. apartment on March 2.
