The Long Island teen killed by a Manhattan subway while celebrating his 18th birthday is the son of a Long Island police detective.
Liam Armstrong — a lacrosse star set to graduate this June from Smithtown High School East — was crushed Tuesday by a northbound express train as horrified straphangers watched inside the 79th St. station, authorities said.
