Woman and child killed 'after she dragged youngster in front of a speeding train during morning rush hour'

A woman and child have both been killed after she jumped in front of a morning rush hour train pulling the child with her, according to the driver. The woman is said to have 'dragged' the child in front of the moving train at Riddlesdown station at 8.30 this morning. The rail worker, who did not want to be named, said he had spoken to the shocked driver of the train involved after the incident. He said: 'She jumped pulling the kid with her. The driver said she dragged the kid with her as she jumped in front of the train.
