Three people have died after a gunman killed two Marines before shooting himself at a base in the United States.
A stand-off between authorities and the suspect at Marine Base Quantico in Virginia began at around 11pm last night after a shooting which left one person dead.
The suspect was barricaded in the barracks at the base and was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound earlier today along with the second victim.
