Twisted trail of 'Yosemite murders' leads to resort handyman

On Feb. 15, 1999, Carole Sund, 43, her daughter Juli, 15, and a close family friend, Argentine exchange student, Silvina Pelosso, 16, went hiking around the giant redwoods of California’s Yosemite National Park. About a month after they disappeared, a hiker stumbled upon a torched car in the mountains, what had once been a red Pontiac. Inside the trunk, burned beyond recognition, were the charred bodies of Carole Sund and Pelosso.
