An 88-year-old man has been accused of shooting his roommate, an 80-year-old grandmother.
Vivian Schronce died from a gunshot wound to her chest on Sunday after she was allegedly shot by Charles Edwin Venn at Venn Trailer Park in Gastonia, North Carolina.
According to police, an argument broke out between the pair after Ms Schronce returned from a Mother's Day church service to find that Venn had drunk a couple of beers that morning. During the argument, Venn allegedly fired his handgun several times.
