A man deliberately cut his arms with saws in the aisles of a Home Depot store in suburban Los Angeles Wednesday, creating a gruesome scene in front of several horrified customers. Two men were killed after a train travelling at 60mph hit the car they were in at a railway crossing. Man, 79, killed while trying to rescue an injured rabbit on highway

A man was struck and killed by a car while apparently tending to an injured rabbit on a two-lane highway, Wyoming Highway Patrol said today. Man killed for drinking mates' beer, court told

A Darwin court has heard a man was allegedly murdered by two friends for drinking one of their beers. The body of Paul John Stamp, 47, was found in the boot of a burnt-out car in April last year. Gregory John Channing, 41, and Gary Stewart Miles, 40, are facing a murder committal hearing in the Darwin Magistrates Court. The prosecution told the court Mr Stamp was living with Miles at his Darwin unit in April last year. The court was told Miles and Channing had warned Mr Stamp not to drink any of their beer. It is alleged the pair bashed Mr Stamp when they found he had drunk one of their beers. The court was told they then put him in the boot of a car, with the intention of dumping him out bush and letting him "find his own way home". But the prosecutor alleges they ran out of fuel in Darwin's industrial area, hitched a ride to a petrol station, and then returned and set the car alight, burning Mr Stamp alive.

Gosnell repeatedly punched and kicked Hayden's head and body, saying he "deserved it", Vaux-Phillips said. Hayden tried to get away but Gosnell only punched him harder. Gosnell made him clean himself up three or four times before laying into him again. Hayden begged for Gosnell to stop and for his female friend to help him. The attack only ceased when an unconscious Hayden was "breathing funny", like he was running out of air, Vaux-Phillips said. After showering him, Gosnell laid Hayden naked on the couch and went to bed with his girlfriend. In the morning, Vaux-Phillips checked Hayden for a pulse and couldn't find one. "He was dead," she told the court. "I told Gavin he was dead ... he just carried on walking outside." Gosnell laid Hayden on the floor and turned the radio on, she said. He proceeded to cut up the dead teenager - first, with a knife, and then with a portable bandsaw. She witnessed the start of the dismembering before returning to her bedroom. Gosnell laughed as he brought through body parts to show her, she said.

Woman, son arrested for hiding husband's corpse in apartment

HYOGO — Hyogo police said Monday that they have arrested a 47-year-old woman and her 23-year-old son for unauthorized disposal of the corpse of the woman’s husband. Police say the remains of the 45-year-old man were discovered in the family’s home in Ashiya. The discovery was made last Saturday after the man’s teenage daughter contacted police to say that her father’s body was in the apartment, TBS reported. Police visited the property where they say the remains of Tetsuo Shoji were found in a padlocked room. Shoji’s remains were reportedly in an advanced state of decay. Police say Shoji is believed to have died over a year ago and that testimony from his daughter indicates that his death may have occurred up to two years ago. Shoji’s wife Reiko and son Hiroaki were arrested on suspicion of unauthorized disposal of a corpse. According to police, Reiko reported her husband missing in April of last year, claiming he had left home and not returned, TBS said.

Despite being described as a 'gentle spirit' by those who knew him, Hardy, who lived alone, had a history of aggressive behavior towards his neighbors and spent one year on probation for assaulting one resident prior to Kirchner or Stocks taking up residence.

Happy Sindane was found dead yesterday in the village of Tweefontein, having been 'severely assaulted', said police. Prisoners found dead at Silverwater jail

The homicide squad is investigating the deaths of two prisoners whose bodies were found in their cell at Sydney's Silverwater jail. The bodies of the men, aged 41 and 47, were found around 6:15am (AEDT) at the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre during a morning head count.
