HYOGO —
Hyogo police said Monday that they have arrested a 47-year-old woman and her 23-year-old son for unauthorized disposal of the corpse of the woman’s husband.
Police say the remains of the 45-year-old man were discovered in the family’s home in Ashiya. The discovery was made last Saturday after the man’s teenage daughter contacted police to say that her father’s body was in the apartment, TBS reported.
Police visited the property where they say the remains of Tetsuo Shoji were found in a padlocked room. Shoji’s remains were reportedly in an advanced state of decay. Police say Shoji is believed to have died over a year ago and that testimony from his daughter indicates that his death may have occurred up to two years ago.
Shoji’s wife Reiko and son Hiroaki were arrested on suspicion of unauthorized disposal of a corpse. According to police, Reiko reported her husband missing in April of last year, claiming he had left home and not returned, TBS said.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
