A two-year-old boy has died after accidentally hanging himself on window blind cords in his bedroom.
Mason Gorse climbed onto the windows of his bedroom in South St. Louis, Missouri on Monday and became tangled in a long nylon cord from the blinds, police said.
The toddler's mother found him hanging several feet off the ground with the cord around his neck at around 7.45pm, but it is unclear how long the child had been there.
Her husband desperately tried to perform CPR on the boy until emergency services came, but he was pronounced dead at Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
