Doctor shoots himself dead just days after he was charged with animal cruelty for killing his dog with screwdriver and hammer

A doctor has committed suicide two days after police say he killed his beagle outside his home, clubbing the dog with a hammer and stabbing it with a screwdriver. Dr. Isaias Lerner Biber, was seen attacking a brown and white beagle tied to a tree outside his home on Tuesday afternoon. One witness said the 66-year-old then impaled the dog with a screwdriver in the area of the dog's ear and throat with what was described as a 'grinding motion.'
