MURRIETA, Calif. — An elderly man was hospitalized after he and another man were attacked by a dog on Thursday in unincorporated Riverside County, authorities said.
The incident occurred about 9:30 a.m. in the 39000 block of Salinas Drive, according to the county’s Department of Animal Services.
One of the victims, the 80-year-old father of the dog’s owner, was “severely” attacked, an Animal Services spokesperson said in a statement. The man suffered bites to his stomach, both arms, and the back of one of his knees. He was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
