A boy accidentally shot his father while they were hunting together in France before turning the
gun on himself.
The pair had been hunting on Saturday in Sourribes, in the Alpes-de-Haute Provence, when the 14-year-old slipped on leaves and pulled the trigger.
The bullet hit the 42-year-old man in the legs.
Police said the teenager then called a member of his family who alerted emergency services but when he realised his father had died, the child turned the gun on himself.
The pair were found lying side-by-side.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
