An 11-year-old girl was killed after a pensioner's car veered on to the pavement and struck her while she waited at a bus stop.
Lily-Rose Murphy was with her mother when when the vehicle came off the road and collided with them in Stanmore, north west London.
A member of the public desperately performed CPR on the schoolgirl but she was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived at the scene.
Samantha Hyde, 46, was taken to hospital after the collision and is in a critical condition.
It is believed she has not yet been informed of her daughter's death.
